keywords post here for coupons! the process for this test and due to the time limitation we have, i will chose my company site, sma which is an it company a website i have ton of data from the past year, mostly coming from semrush , ahrefs and ubersuggest this website that we inherited is not one of my creation and is particularly subpar in many ways, to the point of impacting our business this site is slow has weak content is subsequently poorly ranking has not enough backlinks relies mostly on earned media paid ads and pr very dated design and ui/ux has no positioning all in all, a poorly seo optimized site remember, this is not my site, here i am in the process of rebuilding it from scratch at the moment so this test will complete the work i am doing so i will proceed here exactly the same way i would do using pro seo tools so you can see where it stands and if these fits your need you can save this as a quick start guide too if you decide to give it a go in the context of this test i start by our core industry activity as seed keyword " workload automation " (don't bother what it means, you'll get that later)i will over simplify the whole process trying to stay at the most basic noob level so everybody can understand and remember i am like you, just a passionate guy, not an seo guru i did this test in an asynchronous manner, following the onboarding process with minimal documentation reading, like a fresh new user will do, then explore all the feature one by one note for images and content, you can double click on any media to zoom out if necessary onboarding and basic setup starting at the dashboard the dashboard is pretty straightforward and shows on the left column the menu with the different tools available and on the main screen all the credit consumed for each tool brand overflow dashboardthe above is brand overflow new ui that has been totally revamped from the group up few months ago i love it, but maybe it's my nostalgia kicking in, i had no issue with the prior ui that was really good as is back then a nice addition to the new ui is the dark mode while looking super nice with is tron like futuristic blue and black layout, few improvements needs to be made on font colors to improve visibility when the dark mode is triggered brand overflow menu is laid out in 5 main categories monitoring rank tracking, serp lookups (local seo) to more than 1 million location, ad explorer (what ads shows up for a search query) off page seo backlink tracking keyword research keyword generator, explorer, tool and questions (everything keyword ideas and trends) technical audit domain insights and seo audit (everything technical seo) let's dive in all these menu sub sections, one by one monitoring section the rank tracker the rank tracker is what initially made brand overflow an overnight sensation mostly because the rank tracking was pretty accurate compared to big paid established seo tools but also because it was so affordable that it nobody could believe it was that good for the price ahmed the founder finally explained in a video what i ask him many time how do you provide rank tracking while making the cost down ? do you use api's from other service to do so ? apparently no, except for trust flow (majestic) and domain authority (moz) brand overflow have their own tech using more than +165 servers that scrapes serp's and crawl the web all day long so they can scale the service as customers and new clients onboard the platform so they claim not not getting this data from external costly api's talking about api's, it's interesting to note that bo gives it's users access to their own api 😛 bo data (will use the acronym bo instead of brand overflow henceforth) comes from 3 main sources today their own tech and servers for the rank tracker & backlink tracker moz for pa (page rank), da (domain authority) and most keyword metric (search volume, kd (keyword difficulty), etc ) majestic for its backlink index and tf (trustflow) score google trends for keyword popularity overtime here, we will begin by adding a project same as above by adding the same target domain that was used before (for the exercise, use your domain instead) rank track overviewbut before doing so we will go to semrush and create a 7 day free trial to get all the search queries (keywords and their variations) our domain is ranking for https //www semrush com/kb/1011 subscriptions you will be asked to enter your card details but you can cancel just after that by doing this process https //www semrush com/kb/252 cancelling your account just don't forget to cancel it prior to the 7 day time frame there you will enter your domain semrush domain overviewscroll down and go to "organic search", then click 'view details" it will show you all the keywords your rank for between position 1 to 100 semrush rank trackerthen click export to grab all these keywords in xlsx or csv format if you are above the 30k keyword limit, just filter only the top 10 ranking keywords instead you will obtain a table like this then after doing this you go to semrush " keyword gap " and enter your domain and your 4 main competitors, whether their domain or subdomain or subfolder (to target their blog content for instance) this will allow you to grab the keyword where they rank and you don't on this setup, pay attention to the filter below and filter only your competitor top 5 ranking keywords do the same as above and export the results in xlsx or csv before copy pasting all the keywords here, we will do some keyword cleaning you will spend some minutes selecting the keywords with the highest volume and lowest competition (%kd) you will ignore all keywords with a kd > 60 which on semrush difficulty scale is high the higher the keyword difficulty, the less chance you will have to outsmart your competition you can easily do this part on excel once you have your list of interesting keywords, you will 1\ build content around those keyword on you blog or main product pages to outrank your competition 2\ add the corresponding keywords to brand overflow rank tracker each time you publish new content around these keywords and monitor those overtime 3 as you measure the rankings evolution you will optimize your articles further and check regularly their keyword position in the rank tracker to understand the reasoning behind this method and where the new features in keyword gap comes from you can bookmark and watch this video below for later to dig more on this topic luckily, a lot of this can be done directly in keyword gap now (since march 2020), this video will explain you how to use excel for filtering those keywords alternatively, if you don't have semrush or don't want to test their 7 days free trial to get the above data, you can get part of this data in other ltd tools like ubersuggest just enter your domain, then your competitors, then export the results ubersuggest keyword research tabfinally once you are satisfied with the list, we will copy paste these keywords to brand overflow rank tracker you might ask "but arman, why using semrush or other tools for this since we have brand overflow already?" well, because while you can do many things in bo it is in no way a replacement of other tools in this regard and don't have the horsepower to deliver that data like semrush or ahrefs would in few clicks at least yet and brand overflow desperately needs at least a tool to scrape the top 10 ranking keywords from a whole domain or subdomain and path i know it's planned on the roadmap but at that point you can't have that data yet without using external tools so that crucial feature is missing here, i e the possibility like other market leader tools to at least get the top 10 ranking keywords for a domain (not 10 keywords, all the keywords that rank on that position) another addition that is present in the big ones (semrush/ahrefs) but also some ltd's like seo tester online the possibility to narrow down results to \ a subdomain i e "yoursite com blogs" \ a path (or sub folder) "yoursite com/blog" being an "all in one" seo tools obviously appeals such features i imported 450 keywords at once , it didn't break a sweat and took only 2 minutes to see them with all data showing up in bo, pretty impressive there was still a small discrepancy between to total number of keywords pasted from the list and the actual number tracked showing in bo don't know the reason, maybe duplicates additionally i added other keywords that were specific to my industry and our competitors were ranking for do note that results are location dependent you will have to choose from either a county or a city area (for gmb, see below)) bo rank tracker project listbrand overflow will then show a table with all your entered keywords showing the following metrics, from left to right history graph evolution of a keyword ranking over time in a graphical representation gmb google my business (local pack), more on this later serp's keyword ranking position in google change keyword position evolution overtime, updated daily sv search volume i e the estimated monthly searches of a keyword, calculated on an annual average basis url the url on your domain where the keyword is ranking open in "keyword tool" serp's lookup will show you the first top 100 results for the selected keyword bo rank tracker dashboard cards note the rankings showing "101" is not a bug, it simply means that you don't rank in position 1 to 100 for this keyword it would be great if bo developers improve this by replacing this with a " " or something else like "n/a" in addition to the "not in top 100" indicator in the url column, so anyone could understand what that means instantly and look at ranking numbers only also i could be cool to add a progressive scroll down navigation in addition to clicking for next page each time, or increase max displayed keyword to 500 and adding page numbers too! the cards on the dashboard are pretty useful as and allow filtering your keywords by rank buckets, just click on each corresponding card to see these \# of featured snippets showing for your pages on google top 3 top 5 top 10 top 50 top 100 brand overflow will also count the number of keyword you rank as featured snippets at the bottom, a summary of the biggest movers that gain rankings and the biggest drops bo history graph (click on the little wave on the left) bo send to keyword tool (click on the stacked cards icon on the right) by doing so, you will be redirected to bo keyword tool to search for other related keywords ideas neat serp's top 100 super handy to show the top 100 results ranking for your tracked keywords and get an idea of the type of content that has been made by competitors and shows their featured snippets as you can see here, the process is pretty straightforward to add or remove keywords in the rank tracker it's accurate, data is fetched very fast i personally think the rank tracker menu would make more sense by being placed (like the backlink tracker) at the end of the menu (bottom) that way, we could have started by jumping straight to the keyword research section to find first some interesting keywords ideas and build a list out of it to be then added to the rank tracker but that's personal preference here new updates email alerts + dynamic shareable reports! you can now generate dynamic report links to share to your clients here an example of the rank racking report generated, the logo on top can be branded with yours you can get daily emails alerts too about brand overflow rank tracker accuracy here, i tested few of the keywords i took from semrush results from our site and the competition just to check if bo rank detection was on par with it here, the top ranking and bigger volume keyword from our competitor, bmc com bo semrushone of the few top ranking keyword from our website, all branded with the aforementioned reason, in this case our product name, super low volume keyword here bo semrushso rankings are pretty accurate here perfect also, it seems that bo is claiming that rankings are updated to a daily frequency i am really impressed and skeptical at the same time because most tools usually propose only 3, 5 and 7 days data refresh good point over the competition gmb rankings (google my business/local pack) rank tracker local setup here, instead of a country you will choose a city, in that case above paris, france here it's for a video post production studio i then added keywords corresponding to that business activity "post production paris", etc i had a few issues with the "targeted location" field, showing twice "paris" but also once the "9th arrondissement" (9th district of paris, but no other ), weird here bo shows exactly what we saw in the local pack for the corresponding location rank tracker insights i totally skipped that feature in my first review the rank tracker insight to be honest i didn't found easy to be found at first 🤔 it's a very interesting one it shows visually in bar chart view the number of tracked keyword between rank intervals overtime by clicking the colored boxes below you activate/deactivate each interval from the bar chart each bar represents a day here for instance, if you want only to see the proportion of keywords ranking in the "top 3", just untick all boxes and click only the yellow box below you can click on any of these colored boxes to filter and show the segment you want it's pretty experimental at this point, but i love the idea of this kind of rank tracking heatmaps maybe this graphic representation could be improved from an ui standpoint this one below is nice it shows all the websites ranking for the same keywords as you, showing their rank , moz trustflow and domain authority but the most informative part is number of " referring domains " and total " backlinks " from the domain comb (combined) how many times pages of this domain has appeared on serps of my tracked keywords feat (featured snippet) the no of times this domain is ranked on featured snippet of my tracked keywords serp the no of time this domain has appeared on my tracked keywords in serp only issue is, it would be even more informative to actually show for which and where these keywords rank for , i g on which pages from these domains and for what particular keyword on the list could be great addition here because while the data above gives good indication of how hard it is to rank for these keywords, it's not really an actionable visual metric the domains listed below are indeed useful it can also help determine if you are heading toward the good direction if none of your competitors are here, you might have an issue or if you see a majority of sites that have strictly nothing in common with your business, another warning serp lookup this one is a real differentiator as far as seo ltd are concerned (with the exception of getkeywords) great for everything local search for promoting local businesses, google my business (gmb), etc more than +1 million location available !here, bo will output the 10 top ranking websites for that keyword in the chosen location new addition the gmb local pack! i tried where i am now searching for the burger king closest to my locationpretty accurate as you can see below, same results super handy recent addition local ppc ads ! neat ! important note about non english languages (french and german) bo doesn't support special characters in location search field! small easy bug to fix, but good to know here, i wanted to enter this city in france, "pont à mousson", it could only be added to bo autosuggestion list only if i replaced the "à" with "a" instead another legitimate remark while it's great to have gmb local pack for more than +1 million location, but when you do local seo what will be really helpful here would be to add automatically all the surrounding locations in the area you are targeting and compare the results i know there have been talks about finding a way to mimic services like local viking and the trouble with google maps api and associated costs hopefully, maybe a turnaround will be found for this in the future local viking geomap ad explorer (beta) won't detail all the metrics we saw before, except the ads ctr (click through rate = % click for x impressions) here bo will show you the top google ads for a keyword for the selected country location and their snippets feature request here in addition to searching for ads showing up in serps, having the possibility to do the same for domains instead of keyword i e showing an ad library with all the ads of a domain with history and evolution overtime then, it will be perfect off page section backlink tracker self explanatory here, like the rank tracker, very generous limits (see plans at the end) for pro 1000, for 1000 keywords tracked bo offers 10k tracked backlinks (x10 the rank tracking limit of your plan) this ill allow to add all your backlinks (link pointing to your domain) to be added and monitored on a daily basis same as before i tried to blast and push bo to its limits by adding 427 backlinks contrary as before, it didn't work adding all at once, i had to add backlinks in x2 200 line splits not a big deal if you ask me fetching data naturally took a little longer as it is more resource intensive, but still fast after 10 minutes everything was there few metrics definition here status green marked if the backlink is live, red cross if down/removed bm (brand mentions) shows the number of brand mentions on the page im (image mentions) shows the number of image mentions on the page obl (outbound links) the link juice that is passed from a page is split between the number of outbound links on a page, so the lower the number of obl's the more link juice they provide and the more valuable the link da moz domain authority tf majestic trustflow action clicking on the blue arrow will reveal (very few) additional info like last refresh date and referring domain finally what you can do if you didn't monitored your backlinks before is to open an ahrefs trial account here for $7 https //ahrefs com/start trial https //ahrefs com/start trial https //ahrefs com/start trial https //ahrefs com/start trial you don't have to be an seo pro to rank higher and get more traffic join ahrefs – we're a powerful but easy to learn seo toolset with a passionate community don't forget to cancel trial here before the 7 days time frame https //help ahrefs com/en/articles/73707 how do i unsubscribe cancel my subscription close my account https //help ahrefs com/en/articles/73707 how do i unsubscribe cancel my subscription close my account https //help ahrefs com/en/articles/73707 how do i unsubscribe cancel my subscription close my account https //help ahrefs com/en/articles/73707 how do i unsubscribe cancel my subscription close my account find out how to cancel your subscription then enter your domain and go to "backlinks" go to export and download your backlinks list in xlsx or csv in excel, copy the whole "referring page url" column content to another sheet, go to "data" and "remove duplicates" then copy again the whole column without the header and paste these url's in bo backlink tracker done! additionally, you can use ahrefs "link intersect" feature to discover the place where your competition has backlinks and where you don't this will allow to outreach these domains owners or paste your links there too the numbers in each column are the number of links you competition have on each referring domain, click on each to reveal the url's additionally you can export this data in excel format same remark as above for the rank tracker this kind of data is needed and bo can't do this at he moment so if you are just starting out, brand overflow is perfect for this because you will add these new backlinks yourself but if you have already a website with content and domain history, you will still need external tools to get these backlinks and fill them in the rank tracker also, the ability to filter backlinks is indeed needed, particularly for dead links backlink explorer here, you can enter any url and analyze all the backlinks link to this page so you can reverse engineer your competitor's strategy and outreach to the same site they do when possible results here are pretty accurate i really wish this will turn into a backlink gap like ahrefs does , comparing all competitor domain/subdomain/path backlinks, this is really needed keyword research section foreword about keyword research and positioning first, we have to built a portrait of our ideal customer profile, our persona in my industry it could looks like this (apply this exercise for your industry) male aged between 35 to 55 year old and even above mostly caucasian (don't ask me why) lives in big cities sysadmin , it engineer/analyst or c level it role has anything to do with it production deals with lots of legacy systems like ibm mainframes or midranges is indirectly involved with erp systems, itsm ticketing, hris (active directory) and backup systems has anything to do with datacenter operations , outsourced or not faces growing security challenges due to rising of cloud computing (even more true in these covid times) growing pains with the rise of devops technologies loss of status compare to the new kings in town (devops guys) growing need to upgrade tools and knowledge to keep up the fast paced it industry here, you want to narrow it down to the same industry specific content as your core business is then you will search for competitors keywords they rank where you don't finally, you will expand that by adding other "intent behind the intent" type of keywords, the psychological part, one of the most overlooked aspect of seo what does "intent behind the intent" keywords means in my industry ? simply put this is the reason that push your ideal prospect to search and and type these keywords in the first place not the keyword, why and what problem they needed to solve in the first place which is consequential, but not the same thing in details why someone would buy my product? i e the pain you are supposed to solve \ "trying to manage 100's of script files stored all over the place and still executed manually creating a total mess wasting 1000's of hour of productivity per year" \ "dealing with too many manual tickets for stupid users requests on a daily basis" main industry specific keyword = job scheduling platform (what these it people need to buy to overcome this problem and deal with one interface to rule them all, in short your product) here, an intent behind the intent could be how to automate powershell scripts ? 140 searches per month, difficulty level 11 according to bo keyword explorer keyword could be instead " powershell automation scripts ", which here totals 480 searches per month, and a low competition level of 8, way better i will use this one instead for my headline, and the previous one as a secondary keyword the higher the volume, the lower the competition level (difficulty), the better still when starting out, using question as a https //backlinko com/hub/seo/long tail keywords is also a good strategy since it's less competitive, easier to rank and directly meant to answer a particular problem wrap this into a headline that could then include the seed keyword, like " powershell script automation the easy way ", how to manage powershell scripts automation like a pro ", " a no code approach to powershell automation ", and so on something catchy for the eyes, attention grabbers that contains the seed keyword find the real reasons that led your prospect seeking for your product to solve his problem who is he/she in life, what is his/her status ? the it ops guy, his cio boss aspiration and fears faced in daily his/her job loosing his/her job because he/she screwed up generating a shit load of it tickets because x,y,z solution broke up or simply fatal manual error that crashed the whole system it is hard one mistake and you can screw half a day of production stressful environment what growing concern must they adapt to keep up with their job in the ling run what type of new knowledge must they acquire to secure their job and step up their game (status, fear of tomorrow) it software & partners ecosystem if our prospect type and search those terms or any related terms that lead to find us what surrounds your activity (partners, suppliers, etc ) ex "sap automation" , "servicenow automation" , "as400 automation tools", "it consultant", "disaster recovery", "aws s3", etc not our business but what tools/tech/solutions our prospects/clients deal with on a daily basis last, what kind of " inside jokes " or industry specific humor these professionals react to, and any related content they may search on the internet ex " it memes " (31 6k monthly searches per month worldwide 12k in the u s alone) seems utterly stupid i know, but believe me it works competitors of ours saw an opportunity here, like bmc https //www bmc com/blogs/it memes/ https //www bmc com/blogs/it memes/ https //www bmc com/blogs/it memes/ https //www bmc com/blogs/it memes/ https //www bmc com/blogs/it memes/ https //www bmc com/blogs/it memes/ https //www bmc com/blogs/it memes/ https //www bmc com/blogs/it memes/ here it's freshdesk, the famous helpdesk company doing it https //freshservice com/general/it memes for itsm problems blog https //freshservice com/general/it memes for itsm problems blog https //freshservice com/general/it memes for itsm problems blog https //freshservice com/general/it memes for itsm problems blog looking for the best it memes to share with your colleagues? here are some memes for your classic itsm problems along with best practices to solve for them! why do they do this? because they know it people co worker love to share funny memes through chat! and subsequently they will search for funny meme resources and find you in the process just put you on your customer shoes we want to show up where competitors don't, strengthen where they are weak, reinforce our presence instead of referring too much on competitors branded terms too often (brand and associated product names) one could for instance, associate specific technical terms derived from these solutions , like the kind of tech jargon only known to their pro end users ex "jcl automation" "jcl" is a term mostly known to ibm i users and not your grandma or the baker across the street you get the idea you need to be a mind reader and reveal people intent so, in my case primary seed keywords set will be 100% core industry focused (service, product type, dependencies), including competitor keywords that fit in my market secondary keywords set will be around our software integration ecosystem i e dragging other people that uses the software we integrate with to drive them to our site and create awareness but also add all the psychology keywords base on your persona, their job roles titles and all the related issues they may face in their job that your product can solve last, complete this research with prospective keywords , oriented toward future prediction goals , analysis about the evolution in your industry the earlier you are picking trends, the better in my industry it could be everything digital transformation, devops and cloud related topics oh and who talked about about the impact covid had on our prospect's business ? tons and tons of untapped keyword opportunities here you can already think about all the things that may be useful after the pandemic because if you think about now or next 2 month, it is already too late keyword generator that's he place we should have started our journey here in order to carefully pick and search for nice keyword ideas click "new report", add your keyword, country location, language and click "submit the first thing to do once results are loaded is to filter with the little ▼ arrow on each column, here sv (search volume) to have the highest volume showing up first important miss while you can sort each column of the table by high/lowest value, you can't sort with highest value from one column and lowest value from another simultaneously, like anyone could do with most comparable solution or a simple excel table ex sort \["sv" to show highest volumes + sort "difficulty" to show lowest] to get = "higher search search volume for the lowest competition level possible" it's easy to implement and should be there lots of options there phrases questions comparison shopping research local alphabet numbers hopefully, the team completely revamped this section to include these option in the result table, in a more compacted view than before at the time of my last review cool keyword explorer this feature is with the rank tracker and the local search my favorite one this will give you all the variations of the seed keyword and show its metric + trend goal is finding the easier to rank keyword (low kd competition level), for the best search volume possible, if possible with a stable or upward trend overtime while foreign language support (namely french, italian and german) greatly improved lately, it's not perfect still i also had issues with "acronyms" like below here google will give me a clear representation of those, understanding the meaning and context, here about it service management tools often labeled "itsm" but keyword explorer will output weird results, totally unrelated to the topic, here an iphone app called "itsme" while google clearly makes the difference, bo does not miss here brand overflow will include data about a totally unrelated iphone app instead and here it's not google's fault here because serp's clearly distinguish the difference between the 2 in this case, you just can't make an informed decision and if you are not careful you will make a mistake same issue in english as in french keyword tool serp by country for any keyword, pretty and visual no fancy stuff note about the "rank requirement" it takes into account majestic backlink data that usually covers all tiers so the number here looks inflated in reality it will take you way less backlinks to achieve the same result (but still high da backlinks) https //neilpatel com/blog/how to build high text=tier%201%20backlinks%20are%20links,value%20to%20your%20site%20ranking all links are created equal, right? they’re not! link building used to be simple you would go out there, write a bunch of articles, submit them to an article submission site and get an external link back to your site that doesn’t work in the post penguin era where this could get you a high pr (page \[…] keyword tool showing top 10 serp's ranking for the keyword clicking on the blue arrow on the right will get you additional backlink data for each keyword google news i made the test comparing both bo with google output for the same query in the same location, results where nearly exactly the same as with google news so pretty accurate here please note that like in the example below even google was showing unrelated results, mostly because the keyword had very low search volume the lower the volume the less accurate data suggestion adding the post thumbnail + site news favicon would greatly ease news search google trends note few users reported google trends' data wasn't showing up for few country specific locations (ewok jorduman from austria if i remember well, had an issue for german language results) also i experienced the issue with non supported latin characters like é, è, ï, ö, ü, etc again, not hard to fix and address, pretty sure it will be there soon too we already had talks with the team, they are on it already related queries same data as in google trends with related trends, but inside bo, cool cool one there regional trends and related topic , again from g trends this will be mostly useful for ads in order to concentrate ad budget on location where the interest is at the highest question explorer very good for long tail keyword research technical audit section domain insight dang i love that one !!! it was present from day one back then and caught my eye instantly kinda similar to semrush domain overview here a visual representation of all traffic source & locations, channels, top organic searches, top ppc kw , and so on lot's of great data to quickly get an overview from a domain at glance seo audit everything technical seo related by entering the url of the page + the target keyword you want to examine, you can evaluated the keyword density on the page the thing that i hardly understand is why only keyword density is compared but not showing also pages/domains ranking #1 too also being able to see these actual competing pages from there will be useful check your meta tags html headings, paragraphs and formatting evaluate the keyword frequency (its occurrence) to be 100% honest i wasn't impressed at all by this feature so far why because at that point it's too new and experimental and i can get far more data for cheap with other tools, likely the market leader screaming frog , or ltd's like seo tester online or labrika also, i am not a big fan of these amchart graphs that doesn't really help me take an informed decision here typically this is the kind of feature that should stay longer in staging/test environment before being pushed to live production sub accounts cname agency features sub accounts here, you can split your global limits to sub accounts whether for your clients or projects (see number of sub account available for each plan above pro 1000 ltd plan at the end of this review for more details) you can create sub accounts within your sub account limit and your account limits each sub account can be assigned any limit that you want each sub account can have their own branded reports each sub account must remain for at least 30 days there will be delete protection on deletion of accounts in our next build so that we can prevent abuse branding cname custom logo for reports feature only available to pro 1000 ltd and above accounts owners each user account and sub accounts can have one branding profile that will be used for all dynamic shared reports each user account and sub accounts can have one cname (custom domain) per sub account improvements suggestions ux/ui i would love to see this section evolve in a more compact and refined ui, maybe with toggles to show/hide content or ease navigation with and horizontal menu bar to switch over sections and data cards really, the key would be to change these horizontal blocks you have to scroll and open each time to see what's inside, to an horizontal menu section were one can switch easily and faster between these blocks/data card think like this but instead of folders, you have data windows you can switch over fast as opposed to (sorry, i couldn't find a better analogy by the way, i learned today this thing is also called a scroll what a coincidence !) all in all, pretty good for such a young seo platform sure ui could be improved a lot it need an identity, more personality it should ease navigation and facilitate data visualization really that last point while being cosmetic is the part i struggle the most at the moment it feels too "square" and "cold" both literally and figuratively not only this is important to get a grip with a new tool but also to gather visually elements in a practical and pleasing way not about comfort, but all about daily use and productivity i will be hard on that one i think a lot of these recent features should be refined and fully tested before be pushed to production maybe gathering a beta tester group first then once everybody gives feature feedback and reports bug, then commit the change platform wide to all users it's preferable to do like this than pushing live and give the impression of an unpolished work i know all the above is part of the process and we've seen already lots of updates and continuous improvement since dec 2019 bo has not even 1 year old ! also there is a crucial point that almost all seo ltd tools miss is the basic feature to extract all the top ranking keywords of a domain, like semrush, ahrefs and to a lesser extend ubersuggest do this is really missing here and should often be the starting point to be able to outsmart and reverse engineer one's competitor seo strategy logic path extract ranking keywords from a domain do keyword research build content fill keywords in the rank tracker monitor backlinks rinse and repeat that's the risk of positioning a tool like this as "all in one" because if you do so, people will expect you to do the 9 yards and it's not there yet i would prefer focusing on a very narrow part that bo does really great like the rank/backlink tracker and domain insight, then expand releasing more and more features like if we speak about clever positioning and one taskers in seo, getkeywords is remarkable\ they choose to focus on one thing they do better than most ltd tools (keyword research) and expand from there vs taking an all at once approach, building in all direction but more than anything, it's the data quality that matters first bo is mostly accurate and provide reliable data allowing you to take informed decisions for your business as i said since day one i will mostly use the rank and backlink tracker, then the rest will come naturally overtime i have no single doubt about that last but not least i want to say that i am very impressed by what ahmed has done in such a short amount of time and thank him for his commitment to make brand overflow a great product he and muhammad have been very proactive and very helpful so far i've seen them fixing issues in minutes! so people, don't hesitate to participate, suggest and report your ideas and issues, this is as much important than developing a great tool let's make this your tool, help them has much as they are helping us achieve our goals finally, let's wish brand overflow a bright future and the best of luck for year to come!!! 🙏 brand overflow ltd pretty straightforward pricing here 8 packages from 50 tracked keywords to mega agency needs 15k tracked keywords as you can see, on lowest plans few features are locked, like cname (custom domain, ie when you will share public reports url with your client, it will be serve from your domain name) this is locked for all plan under pro 1000 which more than fair here exactly the same for sub accounts data exports available on all plans !!! (except free ofc) no single limits on the number of generated reports too ! all in all i don't even need to detail by words what is extremely straightforward visually below last important note all pro 1000 account owners will have a 9 month time frame to upgrade if they want to go above pro 1000 plan one time switch only here what makes sense is the pro 1000 plan (if you can afford it) and above according to your need conclusion pros awesome value for the money at least for the rank and backlinks tracker great tracking accuracy daily rank tracking updates! great if you don't have any rank tracker great even for pro seo's to extend their other tools rank trackers the most generous ltd offer for a comparable product since rankwatch fast ui active development team responsive to feedback and fast at correcting bugs great customer support good all rounder for starters agency features sub accounts + cname + custom branding multi lingual support (improving) english, french, italian and german cons not there yet on features other than the rank and backlink tracker has a long way to go to be called an "all in one" seo tool, it won't replace semrush or ahrefs critical features that makes the real difference not fully responsive ui, fonts could be bigger, dark mode needs improvement sometimes fonts are unreadable on black background ux and ui could be improved on many fronts adding bubble helpers when hovering on a feature more actionable analytics developing more unique features to better position the product on the market
